About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at W Melbourne's Lollo restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the culinary team to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays that exceed guest expectations.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency in all dishes served.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the FOH team to inform menu updates and special requests.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items as required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide guidance and support to cooks and kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
About You
  • You have experience in a dynamic restaurant setting, preferably in a high-end or banquet kitchen.
  • You possess a passion for culinary artistry and a desire to innovate in the kitchen, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
  • You have a proactive and upbeat demeanor, inspiring excellence in yourself and others.
  • You are keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career, embracing opportunities for professional development.
  • Qualifications in Commercial Cookery III and IV or equivalent are preferred, but not essential.
