As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our clients navigate their daily lives, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need to thrive. Your dedication and expertise will make a profound impact on the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personalized support to clients, tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
  2. Assist clients with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  3. Offer transportation assistance to clients, promoting independence and autonomy.
  4. Deliver respite care to clients and their families, providing much-needed relief and relaxation.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  7. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent education.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse clients, considering their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
