
Trauma Care Specialist

The Trauma Service Registrar plays a vital role in our multidisciplinary trauma team, attending Level 1 and 2 trauma call-outs and contributing to comprehensive trauma assessment and patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain precise documentation in the trauma booklet
- Collect essential pre-hospital data
- Record information for national trauma registries
- Conduct primary, secondary, and tertiary surveys on trauma patients
- Demonstrate advanced trauma skills such as tube thoracostomies, splinting fractures, and wound washouts
The successful candidate will engage in educational opportunities by presenting Level 1 trauma cases during regular audits and attending scheduled teaching sessions led by experienced Trauma consultants and fellows.
About YouWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled medical professional with:
- Relevant Qualifications & Experience: MBBS or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
- Clinical & Communication Skills: Strong clinical skills in trauma care, ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a dynamic environment
- Leadership & Teaching Abilities: Proven experience in supervising medical staff and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Commitment to Quality & Patient Care: Comprehensive understanding of trauma management, quality improvement, and commitment to patient rights and responsibilities
