About the Role

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapeutic Specialist to join our Intensive Therapeutic Care Program. As a key member of our Therapeutic Care Team, you will work closely with children and young people who have experienced abuse, trauma, or neglect, providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome their challenges and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Psychometric Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to inform coaching and guidance, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Support Therapeutic Care Team: Collaborate with the team to provide best-practice therapeutic care, guiding planning and interactions to promote learning opportunities and positive relationships.
  • Facilitate Reflective Practice: Lead regular reflective practice sessions with the Therapeutic Care Team, linking interactions to trauma, attachment, and child and adolescent development theories.
  • Work with Stakeholders: Collaborate with all stakeholders to support the program and deliver high-quality therapeutic care.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Therapeutic Care setting or working in a clinical environment with children and young people.
  • Current registration or willingness to obtain registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
