Urban Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in land development projects and possess strong project conception and visioning skills.

The role requires the ability to develop designs, produce documentation, coordinate with clients and consultants, and communicate ideas through high-quality graphics and reports.

Key Skills + Responsibilities
  • Contemporary principles and practices of urban design and master planning in greenfield and brownfield contexts.
  • Strong place analysis and design skills.
  • Tender submission preparation assistance.
  • Ability to understand and respond to planning policies.
  • Effective collaboration with technical consultants.
  • Excellent time and fee management skills, with project and client management experience desirable.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams supporting integrated planning, built form, public realm, and infrastructure solutions.
Professional Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban design, urban planning, landscape architecture, or architecture.
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated experience in land development projects.
  • Track record of project work in Australia.
Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable: 3D software skills such as SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, and ArcGIS.
