Role Overview

The Youth Health Counselling Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of youth health counselling services with a high level of clinical expertise.

About the Role

This leadership position provides day-to-day operational management, clinical leadership, and coordination of the counselling team across Youth Health Services. The successful candidate will also provide clinical supervision and professional consultation to staff, develop appropriate professional networks, and determine referral pathways for young people.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing day-to-day operational management and clinical leadership to the counselling team
  • Coordinating the delivery of youth health counselling services
  • Developing and maintaining professional networks and referral pathways
  • Providing clinical supervision and professional consultation to staff

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in counselling, social work, or psychology
  • Registration in line with Award requirements
  • Demonstrated experience and/or training in counselling supervision and team leadership
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with at-risk young people
  • Experience in coordinating clinical services, including counselling services

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a Western Sydney Local Health District location.
