Job Title:

Strategic Engagement Leader

 

  • Provide visionary leadership to drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote awareness of child safety standards and reportable conduct schemes across the community.
  • Lead the development of a communication strategy, preparing advice and strategy to address emerging stakeholder issues.
  • Engage with government and non-government stakeholders, ensuring organisational compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Oversee education activities and presentations on the operations of the Office.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement activities using qualitative and quantitative measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Independent Regulator in fulfilling statutory obligations related to child safety and reportable conduct schemes.
  • Provide expert advice on effective engagement techniques and practices targeting stakeholders and the public.
  • Maintain and implement relevant legislation, including Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023 and Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-employment checks, including National Police Record checks and disciplinary action history.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
