Job Title: Strategic Communications Leader

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is seeking a senior executive to lead its national communications, engagement and education functions.

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that build awareness of NDIS participant rights, strengthen provider capability, and enhance the regulator's reputation as a trusted authority.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of educational resources explaining providers' obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), governments, and disability sector organisations.
  • Ensure all communications are inclusive, accessible, and meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 AA standards.
  • Identify and explore opportunities to enhance digital platforms and communications strategies.
About the Role
  • Minimum five years of senior executive experience in communications, engagement, and/or education, preferably in a regulatory or human rights context.
  • Outstanding leadership, strategic influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting the rights of people with disabilities and inclusive practice.
