About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Airports Manager to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving key commercial and operational priorities for our global airports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the operational delivery of business unit's supplier management and operational performance reporting to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Negotiate commercial contracts with both new and existing suppliers to maximise commercial benefit to Qantas
  • Responsibility for the framework and process to deliver supplier/port performance reporting, including Business Performance, Supplier Meetings, as well as the development of dashboards and business unit performance reporting
  • Develop and implement new business arrangements to maximise commercial benefit of Qantas Group
  • Develop business cases, proposals and make recommendations both internally and externally to drive business development opportunities
  • Integral stakeholder account management role across Business area
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective communication of business performance across business and its associated businesses
  • Lead projects to drive transformation
  • Responsible for driving outcomes to improve employee engagement and productivity across business
  • Identify all impacted stakeholders, level of support, influence and actions required for successful program implementations
  • Engage with stakeholders to build trusting relationships to support achievement of the business objectives
  • Identify and exploit synergies across Business Units to drive cross-functional discussion and collaboration
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Economics, Commerce, Law or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience and at least one year as a commercial manager or similar role
  • Previous experience in Airport Operations or a Ground Handling Business
  • Ability to lead, influence and drive effective collaboration within a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability of external stakeholders
  • A strong commercial mindset with high self-efficacy to chase optimal business outcomes
  • Superior time management and collaboration skills with the ability to work on multiple streams of work in parallel
  • Expertise in conducting business across multiple borders and having an awareness of culture and cross cultural differences
