Drive Commercial Success at Qantas Global Airports

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving commercial priorities and managing dynamic business relationships for Qantas Global Airports. This is a full-time permanent position based at our Mascot Campus.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of Qantas Global Airports. You will be responsible for managing our supplier portfolio using a supplier management framework across a diverse global network. Your key responsibilities will include contract management, supplier governance, performance monitoring, and end-to-end contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accountable for the operational delivery of business unit's supplier management and operational performance reporting to support the achievement of business objectives.
  2. Negotiate commercial contracts with both new and existing suppliers to maximise commercial benefit to Qantas.
  3. Responsibility for the framework and process to deliver supplier/port performance reporting, including business performance, supplier meetings, as well as the development of dashboards and business unit performance reporting.
  4. Develop and implement new business arrangements to maximise commercial benefit of Qantas Group.
  5. Develop business cases, proposals and make recommendations both internally and externally to drive business development opportunities.
  6. Integral stakeholder account management role across Business area.
  7. Responsible for ensuring the effective communication of business performance across business and its associated businesses.
  8. Lead projects to drive transformation.
  9. Responsible for driving outcomes to improve employee engagement and productivity across business.
  10. Identify all impacted stakeholders, level of support, influence and actions required for successful program implementations.
  11. Engage with stakeholders to build trusting relationships to support achievement of the business objectives.
  12. Identify and exploit synergies across Business Units to drive cross-functional discussion and collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Commerce, Law or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience and at least one year as a commercial manager or similar role.
  • Previous experience in Airport Operations or a Ground Handling Business.
  • Ability to lead, influence and drive effective collaboration within a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability of external stakeholders.
  • A strong commercial mindset with high self-efficacy to chase optimal business outcomes.
  • Superior time management and collaboration skills with the ability to work on multiple streams of work in parallel.
  • Expertise in conducting business across multiple borders and having an awareness of culture and cross-cultural differences.
