About the Role

The Support Services Manager is a senior leadership position within the Regional Maintenance Provider - North-East (RMP-NE). You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation, and delivery of maintenance, supply, warehousing, engineering, operational, planning, and data management services.

This role is based in Cairns and will be a 2-year maximum term contract, with potential to go permanent. Relocation assistance will be available to the successful applicant subject to terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the managers of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), maintenance management, planning, and engineering, who will all report directly to you.
  • Be the key liaison to the Commonwealth to ensure upcoming maintenance requirements are understood during supply and maintenance periods.
  • Oversee technical regulation of maintenance support.
  • Ensure completion of maintenance work task orders.
  • Conduct efficiency analysis and implementation reporting.
  • Comply with the Object Quality Evidence (OQE) requirements for relevant production periods.
  • Manage members required in uniform.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the Technical Data and Software Rights Schedule.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience within Defence and in a similar role.
  • Experience as a Maintenance Support Manager in an Australian Defence environment with a proven track record is highly desirable. Experience in Maritime Maintenance is preferred.
  • Australian Citizen with an active Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance.
  • Diploma level or higher in Project Management, Maintenance Management, or Engineering.
  • Experience with MS Project and Jira are highly desirable.
  • Experience in complex maintenance systems as well as financial and statutory compliance.
