About the Role

We're seeking highly skilled professionals to join our Service Enablement Headworks Team. In this role, you'll play a central part in shaping the future of dam safety across the region, leading innovative projects, building collaborative relationships, and implementing modern dam safety management strategies.

You'll take the lead in developing and refining processes that ensure our dam safety management framework continues to deliver exceptional performance. Working closely with passionate professionals, you'll design and refine short to medium-term programs of work across our dam safety portfolio, solving complex challenges, influencing critical decisions, and contributing to the protection of communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise as dam safety subject matter expert in asset management through project delivery and oversight of project intent.
  • Program and lead dam safety and other asset class condition inspections, design reviews, engineering analysis, and risk assessments across the water supply and drainage portfolios.
  • Develop and review surveillance regimes and respond to, analyse, and interpret collected data and physical observations and queries from field staff to determine performance and potential emergency alert levels for dams and other asset classes.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory and duty of care obligations for dam safety, including management of risk profile data, emergency response plans, operations and maintenance, and surveillance/performance status.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree in civil or mechanical engineering or similar field.
  • Active engineering registration in a related discipline required.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of dam safety management principles.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of asset management systems (e.g. MAXIMO, Project Online, Microsoft 365, etc.).
