Design Lead for Accessories

">Job Description:
  • As Design Lead, you will oversee the creation and development of seasonal accessories ranges.
  • You will be responsible for researching and forecasting colour, trend, and styling directions, then presenting these to senior stakeholders.
  • The role requires strong innovation skills to drive creativity and elevate the accessories offering.
  • Close collaboration with the Creative Director is essential to achieve product mix, price points, and margin requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include developing CAD sketches, tech packs, style files, and buy documents.
  • Effective supplier communication is critical to ensure quality, price, and compliance standards are met.
  • Presenting collections at key meetings and reviews is a key aspect of the role.
  • Maintaining accurate colour palettes, trims, approvals, and seasonal range boards is crucial.
  • Analysis of sales and market trends to identify growth opportunities and maximize profitability is also required.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar design role, preferably with footwear and accessories technical knowledge.
  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Design (or related field) is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite is expected.
  • Strong sketching and tech pack creation skills are a must.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and a commercially analytical mindset are essential.
  • Ability to balance creativity with sales performance, margin, and range architecture is vital.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail are necessary.
