As an AOD Counsellor Case Manager, you will be working with clients to address their alcohol and other drug dependency issues. This role involves providing high-quality engagement, assessment, counselling and support services to clients and their families.

You will also manage a caseload of clients, including in outreach settings, providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to help them achieve their goals. Additionally, you will work with clients to develop and implement individual treatment plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based practice principles in the delivery of engagement, assessment, counselling and support services
  • Managing a caseload of clients and providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy as needed
  • Working with clients to develop and implement individual treatment plans
  • Ensuring continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interfaces with other healthcare providers

This is a full-time permanent position working from our office in Brisbane. You will be required to have a strong understanding of contemporary evidence-based AOD counselling practice and case management principles.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or a related field
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence-based AOD counselling practice and case management principles
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and continue to develop professional practice
  • Highly developed communication and community engagement skills
