By delivering evidence-based case management and tailored support, you will help reduce reoffending and support individuals on their path to positive change.Locations: Various locations statewide(Brisbane, South Coast, Central, Northern, North Coast, Southern, Far North regions)Community Corrections supervises individuals in the community under court and Parole Board Queensland orders.
As a Case Manager, you will be part of a team that supervises individuals under community-based orders, helping them meet their obligations and access support to make meaningful life changes.
Your role is vital in maintaining the safety of the community through reducing the risk of supervised individuals reoffending.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeEnsuring community safety by effectively interviewing individuals, identifying potential risks, and responding promptly with appropriate risk management strategiesLeading efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate individuals under community supervisionSupporting public safety by ensuring compliance with the conditions of community-based ordersDeliver evidence-based case management, develop tailored supervision plans, and guide individuals on their journey toward a crime-free futureManaging complexity and pace by effectively multi-tasking in a dynamic operating environmentApplying policy and procedural frameworks to day-to-day offender management practices with accuracy and sound judgmentClick here to take our brief quiz and determine if a career as a case manager is the right choice for you.Key Requirement Of This RoleYou must hold a bachelor's degree in a field related to human services or criminology, such as: Law, Justice, Humanities, Psychology, Social Sciences, Behavioural Science, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Business or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies.

You'll be assessed for a suitability-based talent pool, this is conditional on completing your degree and providing formal proof from a recognised tertiary institution.Successful applicants appointed will be required to complete the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community).
