Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Canberra as an Associate Director - Mechanical & Electrical.

You will be responsible for leading M&E specific deliverables within larger projects or leading direct M&E commissions, such as asset upgrade works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on M&E specific deliverables within larger projects
  • Manage multiple projects and clients with self-motivation and excellent communication skills
  • Establish early budgets, estimating, and cost planning
  • Procurement and post-contract duties
  • Management of Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the M&E team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
  • Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time
  • Experience in delivering M&E elements of work for clients
  • Knowledge and contacts within the M&E supply chain (tier 1 and below)
  • Utilising digital software for delivery of cost management services
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
