Role Summary

Senior Project Officer (Communications and Strategy)

This role plays a vital part in the Adult Parole Board, providing strategic guidance on communications to support the organization's goals.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying opportunities and issues that impact the Board's reputation and developing strategic advice for the Chief Administrative Officer and Chairperson.
  • Creating communication projects to align with the Secretariat's business plan and deliver effective outcomes.
  • Managing email and hard copy correspondence with the Board, in consultation with the Executive Committee member portfolio holder.

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and strong proofing abilities, as well as the capacity to mentor others to promote writing excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality information and advice to senior staff on complex communication matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting and proofreading content for print and digital media on sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing communication projects that yield effective results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
