As a Strategic Communications Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the communications strategy for a leading educational institution. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement engaging communication plans that raise public awareness of the capabilities and status of school leaders and teachers.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists within a dynamic team to deliver on strategic objectives. As an integral part of the team, you'll play a key role in helping shape the development and implementation of transformative communication and marketing strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the academy-wide Communications and Marketing Strategy and providing specialist expertise in creative and impactful communications practices.
  • Creating engaging and targeted communications plans and products for various audiences.
  • Publishing and producing audience-appropriate content across multiple platforms and channels to drive engagement.
  • Supporting professional learning programs, key initiatives, and stakeholders to deliver on goals and build meaningful relationships.

Successful applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate capabilities and experience in the following areas:

  • Demonstrated experience contributing and/or leading the delivery of innovative, audience-centric communications strategies, content, and plans that meet stakeholder and audience needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, utilising formal and informal channels to engage stakeholders, achieve goals, and manage consultation processes.
  • Experience working on multiple priority projects at once and managing multiple deadlines to enable delivery and deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Leadership skills, holding yourself to account and supporting teams to resolve issues.
  • Strong writing and editing skills that can be tailored across different channels and audiences.
