At Northern Beaches Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to work part-time in our Sterilisation Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thermal disinfection, functionality checks/inspection, packaging, and sterilisation of instrumentation for theatres and other clinical areas
  • Compliance with AS 5369:2023 standards, Infection Control policy, GENCA guidelines, and statutory requirements
  • Operation, monitoring, interpretation, and documentation of equipment reprocessing requirements
  • Reporting and documenting quality activities
  • Prioritisation of instrumentation and processes
  • Maintenance of the Sterilisation Services department area and equipment in accordance with Standards

This role requires experience in sterilisation processing within a healthcare environment, a Sterilisation Service Certificate III or completion of the course, and knowledge and understanding of AS 5369:2023.
