Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Analyst to join our team at Launch Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our clients' critical business applications.

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract position that requires a baseline clearance. You will work from Melbourne, Canberra, or Brisbane, with three days on-site per week. The primary technology used in this role is Cognos, and you must be proficient in Business Intelligence, Cognos BI, and Cognos Reports Technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of system performance and recommend enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Monitor the performance of all applications, Infrastructure and their associated Data Services (i.e., components) utilising available tools. Integrating these data feeds with dashboards as part of Service Performance Monitoring Services.
  • Serve as subject matter advisor for supported applications for the team.
  • Adhere to the client's IT Delivery Standards, procedures, and runbooks for supporting Applications where applicable.
  • Perform continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application support, preferably with Cognos.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Australian citizenship and security clearance desirable.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
