About the Role

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and motivated Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team and provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a Partner and Senior Associate.

You will enjoy a varied role with hands-on responsibilities and be involved in a wide range of matters, including diary management, word processing, filing, telephone calls and billing.

Your duties will include:

  • Diary management and arranging appointments
  • Word processing of legal documents and drafting general correspondence
  • Filing and indexing of original legal documents
  • Taking telephone calls and assisting where appropriate
  • Assisting with preparation of documents for court hearings
  • Liaising with clients
  • Billing, opening & closing files and general administrative tasks
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant/Secretary in Family Law
  • A professional attitude, an obliging manner and the demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as a pro-active team member
  • Advanced MS Office and typing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A high level of client service
