Estimating Role

The role of an Estimator is crucial in determining the feasibility and profitability of construction projects. In this capacity, you will be responsible for analyzing project documentation to identify all essential elements and providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations.

  • Analyzing project documents and identifying potential areas of risk;

  • Providing pricing for contracts and variations, including consideration of suitable margins;

  • Obtaining quotes from relevant suppliers for non-standard variations;

  • Liaising with stakeholders throughout the process and offering technical support to team members and sales staff;

  • Maintaining organized files and documentation of completed work.

Requirements:

  • Trade or tertiary qualifications within the residential building industry;

  • Strong customer service focus;

  • High level of numeracy and computer usage skills (estimating and office applications);

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
