About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs as a Sponsor Monitoring Officer. As a key member of the Sponsor Monitoring Unit, you will be responsible for conducting investigations and performing other visa compliance activities. You will apply and interpret legislation, policy, and procedures relating to sponsor obligations and visa pre-decision verification.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct investigations and perform other visa compliance activities
* Undertake site visits, educate business sponsors regarding their obligations, and conduct investigative interviews
* Manage a compliance monitoring caseload with a high degree of independence
* Assess evidentiary material and prepare routine and complex documentation

Requirements

* Be an Australian Citizen
* Meet Border Force Officer qualifications, including relevant medical and fitness testing
* Be uniformed
* Preferably hold a valid driver's licence
