About the Role
The Regional Force Surveillance Group (RFSG) is a key contributor to the Army's Indigenous Community Engagement and Development strategy in northern Australia. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in enabling informed decision-making and supporting regional influence.
Your team consists of a Unit Resource Manager, and habitual relationships with Junior Resource Managers located in subordinate units. Mentoring and training as part of professional development are essential duties. You will oversee financial and capability resource management, recognised as the subject matter expert advising on moderate to complex business management and compliance issues.
About Our Team
Headquarters Regional Force Surveillance Group is based in tropical Darwin, generating and employing remote-area, land and littoral surveillance and reconnaissance capability in Australia's North and North-West. The Group is people-focussed, consisting of approximately 1500 soldiers and officers.
The primary responsibility is to plan and co-ordinate surveillance effects across Northern Australia. The operations team consists of eight staff who focus on planning and co-ordinating three subordinate Regiments to achieve these tasks. The BA has a close working relationship with the Operations Officer, reporting to the Group Commander.

- Work independently;
- Advise and assist in developing financial and resource-based solutions that contribute to RFSG's effort to strengthen northern communities and their people;
- Plan and advise resource management in accordance with priorities and within a directed budget;
- Analyse data for trends, and communicate and advise solutions to a range of stakeholders;
- Work in small teams, and manage and mentor less experienced resource managers;
- Understand the purpose and positive outcomes generated for Indigenous soldiers and their communities through engagement with Army.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
