Strategic Supply Chain Optimization Lead

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our project procurement team delivering the Darwin Ship Lift Facility.
This role will be based in our site office in Darwin, on a 15 days on, 6 days off roster or Monday to Friday for Darwin locals.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a pioneering project delivery company that harnesses innovative engineering and construction solutions to improve peoples' lives today and tomorrow.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise the supply chain, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
- Oversee inventory levels, forecasting, and demand planning to minimize excess inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Lead logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of the supply chain, analyze data, and drive actionable insights for improvement.
- A proven track record of strategic leadership and supply chain optimisation in a similar role.
- Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve supply chain efficiency and performance.
- A competitive remuneration package estimated at AUD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
