Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annumJob Description

The Chief Claims Decision Maker will play a critical role in our NSW operations, responsible for deciding whether to accept or reject claims and transitioning them to appropriate Case Managers for ongoing management.

This role requires strong knowledge of the NSW Workers Compensation Act 1987 and associated Regulations, as well as experience in initial claims assessment (Case Manager), paralegal or legal assistant positions. The successful candidate will be able to interpret and implement decisions according to the rules and regulations, while also managing stakeholders effectively.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as extensive resources for professional development, recognition programs, flexible leave options, and charitable volunteer days.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of the NSW Workers Compensation Act 1987 and associated Regulations
  • Two years or more experience in initial claims assessment (Case Manager), or one year or more in a paralegal or legal assistant position
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including negotiation and influencing
  • Strong time management skills
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
