About the Opportunity

Civeo is currently recruiting multiple qualified chefs to join our teams at our villages across the Bowen Basin, QLD. These positions are full-time permanent, offering successful candidates a 14-7 roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality food and beverages to agreed menus and operating standards.
  • Maintain safe and hygienic food preparation and storage areas, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements.
  • Carry out daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries, recording results, and taking appropriate action if any fall below standard.
  • Develop excellent product knowledge and advise guests and staff accordingly.
  • Carry out work safely to company and statutory standards, including HACCP and ISO accreditations.
  • Work harmoniously with the kitchen team and other village teams.
  • Apply safe work practices to contribute to the safety culture at Civeo.

About You

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery qualification (or equivalent) - International qualifications must be Australian recognized and translated.
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial hospitality industry.
  • Experience in remote work, high-volume, and fast-paced kitchens.
  • Competence in batch cooking across all service offerings.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • A great team player with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
  • Must be flexible to work across any shifts as required.
  • A National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Valid Australian work rights.
  • Current Driver's Licence (highly regarded).
