English Administrator Job Description

Matrix Education is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented English Administrator to join our Academic Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering growth in our academic department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department administration, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and regular business rhythms.
  • Organizing teacher rosters, class cover, and ensuring teacher consistency in the classroom.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure the efficient operation of classes through regular monitoring and delivering feedback to teachers and tutors.
  • Working with the department Head to ensure student retention, including speaking to parents, students, and teachers about courses and classroom processes.
  • Providing academic feedback to the Service Team as requested by parents and students.
  • Copyediting of resources and working within project deadlines.
  • Resolving administrative problems, including English courses and systems on the LMS, and issues that arise from time to time.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on the prescribed regular reporting requirements.
  • Communicating updates of English course offerings to the Marketing and Sales teams.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administration environment, ideally in an education setting such as a tertiary institution or a secondary school.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – including external and internal customers.
  • Superior customer and client service skills.
  • Highly organized and accountable, with a focus on quality compliance and production.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with LMS systems (NEO or RIO preferred) and CRM's.
  • A minimum Bachelor degree qualification in Education, Teaching, Arts, or a related discipline.
