Cellar Assistant Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Cellar Assistant to join our winery team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a cellar or winery environment, with a strong understanding of wine production processes
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to changing circumstances
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute daily operations efficiently, ensuring high-quality results in a timely manner
  2. Perform routine winery maintenance tasks, including hygiene procedures
  3. Collaborate with the Winemaker and other team members to ensure quality and integrity of the wine
  4. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, upon receiving proper training
  5. Adhere to Standard Operation Procedures and Work Health and Safety guidelines
  6. Contribute to a positive workplace culture by demonstrating teamwork, communication, and respect
  7. Work variable hours during peak periods, including harvest seasons
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of wine production principles and practices
  • Previous experience working in a cellar or winery environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods
