Transportation Design Leadership Position

The Transportation Design Manager will oversee transportation facility projects, requiring expertise in transportation or industrial projects and managing multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the concept and design of vehicle and transit maintenance facilities for various project sizes.
  • Coordinate professional staff work and oversee project development.
  • Manage a team of maintenance facility design professionals, review all project phases, and lead cross-functional teams across time zones.
  • Participate in client meetings and design development sessions.
  • Coordinate workload, monitor project schedules, and manage budgets.
  • Serve as primary manager of production teams when needed.
  • Develop facility programming, reports, site planning, and specifications.
  • Coordinate design aspects, vendor relations, and review submittals and RFIs.
  • Conduct construction observations and other engineering tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • At least 12 years of experience in project management within design or engineering fields.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
