Front Desk Representative

This role represents a vital connection point for our guests, serving as the initial impression and setting the tone for their entire experience.

You will be responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs, handling bookings and transactions, and providing valuable insights to enhance each stay. Additionally, you will act as a trusted support system for our guests, anticipating their needs, resolving concerns, and ensuring their time with us is seamless and enjoyable.

  • Deliver a warm welcome that sets the stage for a memorable guest experience
  • Manage guest bookings, up-sell opportunities, and offer suggestions to improve their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently
  • Recognize IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, extending personalized service in person or over the phone
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards and serve as a brand ambassador
  • Provide exceptional support, addressing guest concerns, offering local knowledge, and looping in management when necessary
Key Requirements

We seek an individual with:

  • A valid working visa for Australia without restrictions (please note sponsorship is not available)
  • Prior experience as a Front Desk Representative at a luxury hotel is preferred; ideally, you have spent at least one year in a front desk or similar position
  • Essential certifications include RSA
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required; a college or university degree would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in Opera would be beneficial
  • A passion for delivering luxury experiences, with a willingness to go above and beyond to personalize guest stays and provide local insights
  • Ongoing availability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene
  • An organized approach, enabling you to handle large volumes of information and multiple requests simultaneously
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Physical fitness, as you will be on your feet most of the day and occasionally required to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 23 kg
