About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at InLife Independent Living Ltd. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Client Needs: Provide personal care and support to clients with physical disabilities, including manual handling and PEG feeding (if applicable).
  • Build Rapport and Trust: Develop strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Work as Part of a Care Team: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including guidance from professionals, to deliver high-quality care and support.
  • Transportation and Accommodation: Safely transport clients in their vehicles and provide overnight support as required.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Work varied shifts, including sleepovers and day support, to meet the changing needs of clients.
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills: Possess experience supporting people with physical disabilities, including manual handling, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate good judgement, common sense, listening skills, patience, and a commitment to our values.
  • Professional Qualifications: Hold a valid driver's licence and be comfortable driving clients' vehicles.
