This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference in the community and contribute to the development of effective and efficient respiratory services.
The Clinical Nurse, Respiratory Coordinator is responsible for supporting clients with respiratory conditions, reducing emergency department presentations and hospital admissions, and facilitating timely transfers of respiratory patients.
To be successful in this position, you will require strong communication skills, experience working in a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work effectively with vulnerable groups.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level support and develop effective respiratory services
- Reduce emergency department presentations and hospital admissions for clients with respiratory conditions
- Facilitate timely transfers of respiratory patients
- Support education, self-management, and pulmonary rehabilitation
In order to succeed in this role, you will need:
- Registration or Eligibility: Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Experience: At least 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience
- Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Cultural Competence: Ability to engage and influence others to improve Aboriginal Health services provided to the local community
- Leadership: Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses
