Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our maintenance team and ensure the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of our facility. The successful candidate will drive proactive maintenance strategies, champion safety and compliance, manage resources and contractors, and oversee asset lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in maintenance and facilities management within a complex operational environment, with strong understanding of WHS legislation, safety systems, and risk management practices.

  • Drive proactive maintenance strategies across site infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
  • Champion safety and compliance by leading programs, audits, training, and incident management.
  • Manage resources and contractors, including inventory, site upkeep, utilities, and service provider performance.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management from documentation and inspections to preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Build a capable and engaged team while being hands-on with maintenance where required.
  • Report on safety and maintenance performance, delivering insights and trends to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and facilities management within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation, safety systems, and risk management practices.
  • Proven capability in project planning, resource coordination, and prioritisation under pressure.
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets, and service level agreements.
  • Effective people leadership with a focus on team engagement and capability development.
  • Clear, confident communication and strong reporting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with digital safety systems and site operational safety plans.
