
Support Client Outcomes Volunteer

We are seeking a Support Client Outcomes Volunteer to join our team.
The Support Client Outcomes Volunteer plays a vital role in ensuring that ASC clients receive ongoing support and guidance throughout their engagement with the organization. This includes checking in with clients, reviewing the impact of our services, and addressing any additional needs they may have.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, including active listening, relationship building, problem solving, efficiency, empathy, and collaboration. They will also have an understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum in Australia and be familiar with trauma-informed practice.
This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, requiring 2-4 hours per week. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to ensure that clients receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:- Check in with clients who have attended ASC services to review the impact of our services and address any additional needs
- Identify and monitor trends among clients and report them to the Direct Supervisor
- Identify concerns when engaging with clients and escalate them when required
- Update client information in the database as necessary
- Collect feedback from clients and assist in the preparation of reports
- Link clients with relevant internal and external supports or services as appropriate
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- An understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum in Australia
- An understanding of or willingness to learn about trauma-informed practice
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
- Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as needed
