Volunteer callers make a positive impact in their community through the Telecross Redi program.

Program Overview

This service supports people at risk due to extreme weather events by providing wellbeing phone calls during declared heatwaves.

The Opportunity

As a volunteer caller, you will listen and communicate with clients in a caring and courteous way regarding their health, well-being, and social connection. You will use a script to ascertain client well-being.

You should be comfortable using computers and able to quickly learn a web-based call system. Accurate records of all calls are maintained according to protocol.

We welcome volunteers who speak a second language and have customer service experience. However, this is not necessary.

Please note that assistance with obtaining or maintaining equipment and internet connections is not available.
