Job Description

As a Business Unit Director for our NetApp portfolio, you will drive the success of our designated Business Unit. This strategic position requires exceptional leadership capabilities, industry expertise, and a deep understanding of the market. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets, fostering strong vendor relationships, and leading a team to success.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Business Growth: Oversee the overall management of the designated Business Unit within the Portfolio, focusing on achieving revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with team members to develop and execute business and promotional plans in alignment with vendors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Optimize Vendor Engagement: Ensure optimal engagement with vendors through regular communication and strategic alignment.
  • Mentor and Coach: Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Monitor and drive monthly sales by vendors, addressing any significant variances and maximizing opportunities for vendor rebate entitlements.
  • Participate in Budget Process: Actively participate in the annual budget process and track brand results against budget, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to achieve targets.
  • Review and Optimize Product Portfolios: Maintain regular contact with vendors, optimizing their profile with the sales team and marketing efforts, and continuously reviewing product portfolios for new opportunities.
  • Develop Marketing Plans: Develop and execute plans to maximize business and share for vendors' products, including quarterly marketing plans and execution of vendor-initiated marketing programs.
  • Ensure Effective Sales Execution: Drive effective sales execution across sales teams, ensuring the availability of current and effective sales tools.
  • Monitor Financial Performance: Monitor revenue, gross margin, and budget adherence, providing regular updates and coaching to direct reports as needed.
