Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and strategic leader to oversee the performance of a team of claims settlement specialists. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving operational efficiency, enhancing insurer relationships, and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of claims settlement specialists to achieve agreed KPIs and deliver outstanding results.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and quality checks, providing constructive feedback and development plans.
- Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and insurer relationships.
- Manage team productivity, timekeeping, leave, and performance data, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide training and develop resources for claims and recovery teams.
- Analyse and report on team performance, case law developments, and operational trends to senior management.
- Approve settlements, recovery rates, task extensions, and other key decisions within delegation authority.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and presentation skills.
