Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic Procurement Team at Latitude IT. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in implementing and ensuring procurement practices are appropriately considered, creating a new operating model for procurement, and establishing quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and availability.
  • Negotiating Contracts: Work with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties, ensuring that agreements align with the company's goals and budget.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manage performance, and ensure that they meet the company's requirements.
  • Cost Control: Ensure that purchases align with budgetary constraints and seek ways to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
  • Purchase Orders and Documentation: Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place and compliant with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with other departments to ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Track and report key procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and order fulfillment rates, to help inform decision-making and improve processes.
