Compliance Manager Job Description

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for championing and leading the compliance function in the Sydney office. Your role will involve providing advice and guidance to partners, lawyers, and business professionals on risk and compliance issues.

The key responsibilities include ensuring that Australian partnership and offices are in compliance with local laws and regulatory rules. You will also need to liaise with NSW and WA Law Societies, design preventive monitoring mechanisms, promote awareness of global policies, and provide compliance advice and guidance to stakeholders.

You will work closely with senior management, risk and compliance teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure that obligations are met. This includes reporting on compliance activities and risks every six months and annually.

Your expertise in business support processes, combined with your knowledge of the legal industry and priorities, makes you an ideal candidate for this role. As a trusted advisor, you will form and develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders, championing the compliance function in the Sydney office.
