Drakes Supermarkets is a leading Australian retailer seeking a skilled Meat Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer engagement
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and cost control to optimize profitability
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance management to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed
  • Ensure compliance with work health and safety standards and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the meat department
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
