Meat Department Manager

Lead our Client's Meat Department to success by driving innovation in retail and managing a team of 20+ staff members. This challenging yet rewarding role offers a competitive salary package with potential earnings up to $80,000 for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Develop a collaborative service model strategy utilising insights from various business units and foster a culture of innovation and growth within the team.
- Operational Excellence: Manage commercial targets and department performance, ensuring strategic and operational goals are met. Lead the departments in product management, pricing strategies, and inventory control.
- Customer Engagement: Drive customer-focused initiatives and be present on the floor to gather insights and innovate, ensuring continuous excitement and opportunities for sales.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, aligning financial goals with departmental targets.
- Team Development: Promote a positive work environment, lead by example, engage in performance reviews, and support the career development of future leaders.
- Experience in meat processing and retail, with qualifications in Butchery highly regarded.
- Proven track record in service management within the retail industry.
- Exceptional leadership skills, capable of managing diverse and sometimes challenging team dynamics.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with a knack for strategic planning and problem-solving.
- Available to work across a 7-day roster, including a minimum of one weekend per month.
