Meat Manager Role

Drakes Supermarkets is a Retail industry success story, with a family-owned and operated private company operating as Australia's largest independently-owned supermarket chain.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Meat Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the meat department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of meat department staff
  • Ensure accurate ordering and cost control
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Contribute to the development of the meat department's marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Participate in the development and implementation of store policies and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements:

  • Significant fresh food retail experience, preferably in a supermarket or retail environment
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • A strong understanding of the retail industry, including market trends and customer preferences
  • A high level of integrity, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty
