Job Overview
Full-time position available to cover maternity leave until November 2026.
The successful candidate will work a standard 35-hour week with rostered days off, as part of a 9-day fortnight scheme.
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced event producer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to delivering exceptional events that engage the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support stakeholders for Council and local community events, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
- Coordinate the delivery of Council's major event program and ancillary events, demonstrating expertise in project management.
- Oversee all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production requirements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Source and secure participants for events, leveraging established networks and relationships.
- Ensure events adhere to best practices in creativity, risk management, and community engagement, fostering a positive reputation for the organization.
- Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors at events, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in post-event reviews, analyzing successes and areas for improvement to drive continuous growth and development.
- Develop new events for the program on a one-off or ongoing basis, staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in event management or equivalent industry experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in theoretical knowledge.
- Proven experience in event production for indoor and outdoor events, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
- Comprehensive understanding of legislative requirements for community events, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
- Experience in implementing risk management strategies for events, prioritizing safety and well-being.
- Ability to coordinate multiple major community events simultaneously, managing complex logistics and competing priorities.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence, enabling flexibility in event planning and execution.
