Job Description
As a Sr. Launch Program Manager, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders to influence numerous teams both within and outside of Global Engineering Services (GES) and directly impact our internal customers in operations. This role calls for an individual who is proficient in continuous improvement and experienced in strategically developing processes and mechanisms to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop trust and consistently deliver results while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Think creatively and develop new ideas, apply high standards to prioritize initiatives, and nurture a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and feedback.
• Work backwards from the customer perspective to scope and define program requirements and critical milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Demonstrate autonomy and ownership in driving multiple time-sensitive actions items through various business groups, maintaining a customer-centric focus throughout.
• Manage competing deadlines while prioritizing customer needs, ensuring successful launch outcomes across multiple projects and programs.
• Optimize cross-team processes to improve team efficacy and delivery, implementing efficient solutions that enhance productivity and quality.
A Day in the Life
As a Sr. Launch Program Manager, your responsibilities may include:
• Leading the Road to Launch process, ensuring seamless hand-offs between teams and achieving operational readiness testing success.
• Managing relationships with site types under the GES Launch Team scope, coordinating stakeholders to exceed Amazon standards for launch success.
• Identifying defects or opportunities for process improvements through deep diving existing processes.
• Compiling, managing, and reporting on weekly project metrics to inform data-driven decision making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
• A bachelor's degree and/or 2 years of experience at Amazon or equivalent experience in a previous/current role(s).
• At least 3 years of program or project management experience, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques, as well as leading and coordinating program-level initiatives to successful delivery.
• Strong business writing and constructive communication skills, with experience in writing and supporting effective business narratives.
Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
