Job Overview

The role of the Principal Adviser involves providing expert strategic advice and exceptional project management to enable high performance within a group.

This position forms part of an office, supporting delivery of sustainable economic development and employment growth for a region. The group provides leadership and expertise in policy design, research, analysis, and advice, as well as project management, delivery, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing policies and new program or project initiatives based on knowledge of government structures, processes, and culture.
  • Creating policy frameworks within specific areas of expertise or responsibility.
  • Advising senior stakeholders on policy issues and solutions within functional areas.
Requirements
  • Possessing skills in policy design and development, including building trusting relationships with senior leaders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, building a culture of collaboration across an organisation.
  • Strategic planning skills, guiding others through the process and creating a shared vision for the future.
