Job Title: Outreach and Volunteer Leader

Role Overview

This is a leadership position that oversees the volunteers and outreach programs at the core of an organization's mission to connect with people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or social isolation.

The role manages the full volunteer lifecycle, ensuring each outreach shift is safe, welcoming and aligned with the organization's values. This includes providing leadership, guidance and hands-on support to volunteer Branch Coordinators and the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, ensuring they are equipped, connected and empowered to deliver safe, high-quality outreach across all locations.

The successful candidate will oversee the Youth Engagement Program, guide the organization's involvement in community initiatives, and foster strong partnerships with local organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage volunteers and outreach programs to ensure alignment with organizational values
  • Provide leadership and guidance to volunteer team members
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve outreach quality and safety
  • Oversight of the Youth Engagement Program
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Leadership experience in community services, health, volunteer management or related areas
  • Demonstrated success in engaging, training and retaining volunteers
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance strategic priorities and operational delivery
  • A genuine drive to bring inclusivity, dignity, value and respect to every individual
  • A current driver's licence, Blue Card and ability to pass a police check
