Job Overview

The Payroll Officer role is a key position within the finance team, reporting directly to the Assistant Business Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of end-to-end fortnightly payroll processes
  • Facilitate effective communication with staff and management regarding payroll-related queries
  • Maintain comprehensive leave records, including sick leave, annual leave, and long service leave
  • Calculate and process back-pay, annual leave loading, salary sacrifice, and termination payments
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll processing role is essential for success
  • Proficiency in utilizing Preceda (NGA), Xero, and/or Synergetic is highly regarded
  • High attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines are crucial
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • A proactive approach and positive attitude are necessary for this role
