About this Opportunity: We're seeking an experienced employment law professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel.

This role offers a unique chance for a senior lawyer to work in a complex, high-profile environment with variety and professional challenge.

You will provide high-level legal and strategic advice on employment law, workplace relations, and dispute resolution, as well as manage significant litigation and contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice on all aspects of employment law and workplace relations.
  • Manage complex litigation and disputes across state and federal jurisdictions.
  • Advise on dispute resolution strategies, including mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers to deliver exceptional legal services.
  • Advise on policy development, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to secure the best outcomes.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have:

  • Admission as a Solicitor or Barrister in Queensland (or eligible for admission).
  • At least 7+ years' post-admission experience with strong expertise in employment law, industrial relations, and litigation.
  • Experience advising on sensitive employment and dispute matters in complex organisations.
  • Excellent advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
