Metabolic Psychologist

This part-time position is located in the Allied Health Metabolic Clinic at Launceston General Hospital. As a psychologist, you will work with patients considering bariatric surgery to provide psychological support for their decision-making process.
Main responsibilities- Assess patient readiness for bariatric surgery and deliver interventions to support individual or group decisions regarding their metabolic journey.
- You will collaborate as part of the Hospitals North Allied Health Psychology Team, contributing to a culture aligned with values such as Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
- You will work with Nutrition & Dietetics and other psychologists to support consumers in decision-making for bariatric surgery.
- Tertiary qualification/program approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Area of Practice Endorsement where required (e.g., Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, etc.).
